Custody For Youth Persuasive Writing

Banishment/Custody Persuasive Writing
Should custody be the last resort for youth if they commit a crime or crimes? No, I don’t think that custody should be the last resort for youth if they do whatever they did more than once. Here are the reasons why I don’t agree.

I don’t agree because if they did it more than once they should remove him/her from society immediately before the youth does something else that is bad. For example, killing someone, raping a person or more than one person, robbing a bank, beating up someone, etc. But if he/she did something that is not really bad for example, stealing food from a store because he/she was hungry, then custody should be the last resort for youth.

I think for some people jail is good because when they’re in jail they start thinking what they did is wrong and when they come out of jail they try not to do what they did and they try to be a better person. But this is not for everyone for some people jail is bad because when they’re in jail they might get crazy or get worse when they get out. For example, he/she might start to hang out with bad people, might start to hang out with gangs, might keep doing the same thing, etc. I think jail is good for bad people.

There was two boys their names were Cindy Collier that was 15 years old and Shirley Wolf was 14 years. An elderly woman let them in and sat chatting with them as they thought up a plan to steal her car. Shirley grabbed her by the neck while Cindy found a butcher knife and tossed it to her. Shirley stabbed her victim 28 times, even as the old woman begged for her life. They fled the scene, but were soon arrested. Both confessed that the murder was "a Kick" and that they wanted to do another one. They thought it was fun. So if you agree then you know they shouldn’t get a second chance but if you don’t agree take time to think and decide if they deserve a second chance or not.
Those are some reasons why I don’t agree that custody should be the last resort for youth.
